42 Floors: New York Medical Coworking Company Expands to South Florida

Manhattan-based, healthcare-focused coworking spaces provider Lina recently opened its newest location, marking the company’s expansion into south Florida. Lina Aventura is located at 2820 NE 214th St. in Aventura, FL, within the city’s medical district and just two blocks away from Aventura Hospital. The property also has direct access to the SERENA hotel and is within convenient proximity of South Beach, Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Lina offers HIPAA- and OSHA-compliant clinical space that’s already furnished and available on demand. Members have access to common areas and shared amenities, such as: front desk reception; meeting, event and outdoor spaces; complimentary refreshments; and nightly cleaning. Building amenities also include dedicated parking; a fitness center and pool; and a full restaurant and café on the premises.

Lina members have a choice of either fully furnished or customizable suites with complimentary concierge amenities for medical, mental health and wellness practitioners. Part-time, fully equipped suites are offered as part of all-day, on-demand memberships. Alternatively, members can reserve a private office, which offers 24/7 access to a private, dedicated, and customizable space for either an individual practice or a group.

The first-of-its-kind company was founded by Vicrum and Rachel Puri in 2017 with a goal to address the practice needs of independent health practitioners. By alleviating some of the many challenges that private practice physicians face, Lina seeks to help reverse their decline: The number of healthcare practitioners has dropped dramatically in the U.S.

“Everything from our state-of-the-art equipment to our elevated environment to our administrative services enables the well-being of our physicians as much as their patients,” Vicrum said. “Our cost-effective alternatives — combined with member access to invaluable networking and resources — has allowed practitioners to launch, sustain and grow their practices.”

By offsetting increasingly steep costs — such as labor, staffing, operations and real estate — as well as by providing turnkey suites, flexible membership options and a supportive community, Lina has been championing physicians to flourish and retain their autonomy.

The Lina coworking model provides dedicated, private office suites, as well as furnished, versatile exam suites that are designed to cater to a wide range of healthcare specialists, while also accommodating them in every stage of their careers.

The company also operates two current flagship medical coworking spaces in New York City — one on the third floor at 245 5th Ave. near the iconic Flatiron Building and the other on the 14th floor of the high rise at 18 East 41st St., just steps away from Grand Central Terminal.
